Double barrel productions is an award winning independent production company
realizing a passion for story telling on film, in theatre and through dance.
Established in 2001, the company’s work has since featured on BBC and
SKY TV, at international Film Festivals, as part of The Edinburgh Festival, on stage at Bloomsbury Theatre, Soho Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, The Old Vic
and at Wembley Arena, London.

who we are
Writer / Director
Susan Luciani began her directing career with stage shows at Bloomsbury Theatre
London, Wembley Arena and Mardi Gras London whilst still at university. She
has been shooting her own short films for the past few years including a documentary
in Bali six months after the bombings. The film was officially selected at international
film festivals. In 2005 Susan shot her first 35mm short film DOLLS
at Shepperton Studios which featured critically acclaimed actors Charles Dance,
Joanna Lumley and Denis Lawson. DOLLS has screened on the BBC
and SKY TV and at Pinewood studios as part of the BSC,
British Society of Cinematographer’s New Film Makers Event. “Dolls
is extraordinary, this film has a spectacularly different, significant, coloured
voice.” Jeremy Howe, Head of Short Films, BBC. The film also toured International Film Festivals .
Simultaneously,
Susan has developed her technical film experience working as a camera
assistant and in visual effects on features including Narnia, Wolfman, Inkheart, Prince of
Persia, Sweeney Todd, 10 000 BC, Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter Goblet of
Fire, Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hitch Hiker's
Guide to the Galaxy.
Susan has also written 7 feature film scripts and has just completed post production on her debut 35mm feature film BURLESQUE FAIRYTALES.

Lindsay McFarlane (pictured,

is an independent producer who has been working in the professional film industry since 2000 on projects including Narnia III, Shanghai, Golden Compass, Narnia , The Da Vinci
Code, 10 000BC, Stardust, Tomb Raider I & II, The life and death of Peter Sellers, Shaun of
the Dead, Band of Brothers. Lindsay’s animated short film ‘The
Big Picture’ was chosen to be represented by the British Film council and screened at Edinburgh International Film Festival,
Cinanima International Festival, Portugal, Kino Film festival Manchester and
Stitges Festival in Barcelona.
Lindsay began working with double barrel in 2005 and produced DOLLS and BURLESQUE FAIRYTALES.
Writer / Actor
Morgan Lloyd Malcolm has been an Edinburgh Fringe regular for
the past three years with The Trippplicate and featured at The Pleasants Dome
last year selling out their show, 13 o clock. Selected as one of only six writers
chosen for the Old Vic New Voices event she wrote the finale
piece for the Old Vic stage. She has since written 4 full length plays and is currently working with the BBC writing comedy shows. “Morgan
Lloyd Malcolm is an exciting new talent and definitely a name to watch!”
